Dr. Kanhaiya Tripathi : A BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Kanhaiya Tripathi (Date
of Birth: 01 Jan, 1981) is known to me personally, since last 15 years, due to
his outstanding academic contributions in the multidisciplinary subject. Dr.
Tripathi also has specialization in Non-violence
and Peace Studies and Human Rights and Gandhian Philosophy.
Dr. Tripathi is a scholar and
posses versatile personality of multifarious activities. He is a great
visionary, multidisciplinary academician, humanist and is committed to the
cause of Society in general and Nation in particular. His special active
co-operation in social and cultural fields, has established National and
International peace, goodwill, non-violence and development, and these are his
exemplary works. Dr. Tripathi has edited 16 different books written by Her
Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil.
Dr. Tripathi has been working
for more than one decade against casteism, racism, violence, communalism,
terrorism, stirrism and violation of human rights. He started the work of
peace, nonviolence, unity, integrity and national oneness when the state of UP
was making a dreadful dance due to communalism of temple and masque. The women
and children of hundreds of families were the victims of this plight due to
religious fanaticism. Really, Dr. Tripathi felt pity with the pain of infants
and women, since then he decided to the light of patriotism, mutual
brotherhood, mercy and charity, peace and non-violence.
He became famous when he
started the mission ‘The Search of peace.’ Of course through the
mission Dr. Tripathi adopted a universal outlook, cutting across the barriers
of language, religion, race, colour and political affiliation. It is the sense
of the commitment to serve and sacrifice for the cause of the suffering people,
is the greatest ideal for a social worker. By serving the people of India
and other countries, who were in urgent need of Non-violence and Peace.
Dr. Tripathi achieved respect
from academia by his major contributions in the form of books and articles. Dr.
Tripathi wrote the book on the President’s life, named “Satah se Shikhar Tak: Bharat ke Rashtrapati.” His other books are
“Adivasi Samaj Aur Manvadhikar (Indigenous peoples and Human Rights)”, “Hind Swaraj : Ahimsak Kranti Ka Dastavez”,
“Bhartiya Manavaadhikar Andolan: Kuchh Nai Pahal”, “Kshetriya Sangharsh Aur
Sahyog” etc. His edited books are “Hind
Swaraj: Shatabdi Vimarsh (Hindi)” and “Hind Swaraj: A Charter for Human Development from Within” with my
association. Dr. Tripathi edited many volumes “Bharat Jagao! (6 Vol.) “Rise India!” (6 Vol.), “Bharatala Jagawa!” (The
President of India
Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devising Patil’s speeches in Englishand Marathi)”, Jab Main Rajyapal Thi (2 Vol.), Stri Utkarsh Ki Or, Dr. Rammanohar
Lohiya aur Satat Samajvad etc.
Dr. Tripathi is the recipient
of many commendations from various organizations for his meritorious services
rendered by him. Dr. Tripathi is a National Human Rights Commission awardee for
his creative writing. He got Creative Writing Award (2008-09) on 14 Sep, 2011.
He has given a new
orientation to the society after attending many programmes of education,
culture and some international seminars and conferences. It is significant to
mention here that he has worked in the Rashtrapati Bhavan and discharged the
duties assigned to him from time to time by Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha
Devisingh Patil, the President of India, related to academic and literary
creations.
